Owner Surrender Requests

Please be aware that WBCR does not have a facility and cannot provide immediate assistance. We are a network of volunteer foster families who do this out of love of the breed. If you are looking for immediate assistance, your best bet is your local shelter.

We strive to help as many BCs in need as possible. Please be aware that despite being a small organization, we receive many requests for help every week.

If you are looking to relinquish a dog, please provide us with all of the requested information via email (no texts or messages) so that we can determine if we can provide assistance as quickly as possible.

Emailed requests that do not contain all of the following information cannot be considered.

• Photos (side profile standing, and face) 
• origin 
• age
• temperament
• health (spayed/neutered and current on vaccinations)
• medical issues 
• behavior around strangers, kids, unfamiliar dogs, cats, livestock if known
• skills (house trained, cratetrained, rides in car comfortably, basic cues) 
• behavioral issues
• reason for surrender request 
• your name and location

Email to wbcr@wbcrescue.org and title the email with OWNER SURRENDER REQUEST and the dog’s name in the subject line.
